One of my early memories of Tony was when Pauline and I went to watch him play football. On the way back he bought us half a pint of cider each. Pauline took a couple of mouthfuls and felt ill so I finished them both and felt ill myself. As you might expect Mum told him off when we got back.

We are so grateful for the time we spent with him on the occasions we took Mum over to the Isle of Wight. We have fond memories of Tony, his interest in gardening, wine, checking his shares and insistence on rinsing plates of soap suds before they were washed up. We will miss him.
